Perlino

Description: This color is very similar to white, and propably usually not distinguished from cremello horses. So there is no special icelandic name for the perlino color. A rare color combination.
The mare is perlino. Nett from Reykjum. The foal developed into a smoky black horse (and in that way showing it's creme gene).

Some genetics:
The perlino is caused by two Ccr genes on the C-locus, just like the cremello color. The difference between a cremello horse and a perlino horse, is that the base color is chestnut in a cremello horse, but bay in a perlino horse, and the color of the mane and tail is often more yellowish than on a cremello
