The breeding goal of the
icelandic horse
for the quality "Gallop/canter".
The Icelandic
horse should have a three-beat rhythm in gallop, and a very beautiful gallop.
The horse should lift it's front part well, and stretch itself well, with
superb speed. The horse should keep this in both canter (slow gallop)
and at maximum speed.
What
are considered faults are mainly
-Disunited
gallop.
-Bad
rhythm.
-No
speed.
-Lack
of balance in the movements.
-Heaviness,
lack of suspension.
