The breeding goal of the icelandic horse for the quality "Straightness of legs

The Icelandic horse should have straight legs. When looked at the horse from behind, while it's trotting or tolting, the movements of both front and back legs should be straight. Hind feet may be a bit toed out.

What are considered faults are mainly:
  • Deviations from straightness
  • Distorted joints in the front and/or hind legs
  • Distortions in the hocks
  • Too sloping pasterns or too vertical back feet
  • Base-narrow legs
