Us at Langhus farm

Me (Lukka, Arnthrudur Heimisd.) trekking on my own with two horses.
I love horses, and all other animals.  I've been studying horsemanship at Hólar school for a year, and also reading about natural horsemanship, Tteam, clickertraining and more.  I have been on clinics in NH and in Tteam, and enjoyed them very much.  I work by training horses with many methods, helping on the farm, and as a school teacher in the mini-primary school here in the neighbourhood.   I have a B.Sc. degree in Agriculture, from the University at Hvanneyri.  I am also a member of the FT (trainer's association, also known as the Blue jackets), but a very strict exam has to be passed to be allowed participation in FT.

On one of the few days when I don't smell of horses.

Bjössi (Sigurbjörn Þorleifsson) riding in a show.
Bjössi has been riding and training horses all his life.  He has been very successful at shows, and is open to new ideas.  He breeds cows to have "something to live on" and horses to have "something to live for".  Horses are his primary interest, and running a good farm.  He is also in all sorts of committee's, including the one directing the Horse breeder's association in Skagafjörður.

Bjössi training Dofri from Hofsósi.
Láki is the third horseperson at Langhus.  He is Bjössi's son and my boyfriend.  He has taught me a lot and is a very gentle rider.  The horses he trains have a tendency to become friendly and love people, so they end up to do their best in a soft way, never enforced.
Láki, delayed because of icecream.

Láki is crazy about birds, and ringmarks almost a thousand pieces every year.
Here he has captured a rare traveller.

And of course, he loves going to shows.

A part of our coin collection, gotten from shows.

Our little gem, Heimir, 9 months old on the picture.  He was born in desember 1999, and is always smiling (exept if he's sleepy).  He is our (Láki and Lukka) only child (yet) so of course he's very popular here at Langhús.

And here he is, close to 2 year old - and loves horses.
